John Zajac 78 of Cokeburg, died Saturday January 13, 2018 at his home. Born on November 19,1939 in Ellsworth a son of John and Anna Klish Zajac. John was Catholic by faith and was a US Army veteran. He was retired from the former Findlay Refractory, Washington. John was a member and secretary of the Independent Club Bentleyville, Past President of the Polish Club Bentleyville, the Lithuanian Club Bentleyville, social member of the VFW Tidioute,PA, American Legion Post #334 Tidioute,PA, F&AM Mason Lodge #615 Charleroi, Cokeburg Moose Lodge #1625, lifetime member of the NRA and a member of the Polish National Alliance. John was an avid fisherman and enjoyed time with his wife and friends at camp.
Surviving are his wife Sandra O’Brien Zajac, a stepson Christopher (Adelena) Waters of Ellsworth, a stepdaughter Cynthia (Howard) McLain of Portsmouth, VA, a brother Edwin (Antoinette) Zajac of Bethlehem, PA, 5 step grandchildren and 3 great step grandchildren, 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Preceded in death by his brother Francis Zajac and sister Ellsie Schaub.
Visitation will be held on Thursday January 18, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Leonard M. Pavlic Funeral Homes, Inc. 405 Main St. Bentleyville will a blessing service will be held on Friday January 19, 2018 at 10:30am with Rev. Edward Yuhas presiding. Interment will be private.
