Joseph A. Bruno 85 of Charleroi passed away on Thursday February 19, 2026 at Mon Valley Care Center. He was born in N. Charleroi on August 25, 1940, a son of Anthony and Sadie Patti Bruno.

Joe served with the U.S. Army Reserves from 1962-1968 during the Vietnam War. He was a musician, and played with the Eldorado’s from 1965 to 1970 as the bass player and also played with the King Cobra's,  He was an avid Steeler fan traveling to the away games and Super Bowls. Joe loved socializing with many friends.

He was retired from the former Corning Glass Charleroi, where he was a quality control technician. He was Catholic by faith.

Joe is survived by his brother and sister-in-law; John and Denise Bruno, 2 nephews; John (Leigh) D. Bruno and Joseph (Jodi) Bruno, great nephews and great niece; Anthony and Giovani Bruno, and Kirstie (Brandon) Zuraw, a niece Elsa (Pat) Sauritch, great-great nephew Barrett Bruno Stark and 2 cats Sadie and Gulliver.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lydia Wisyanski Bruno on Dec. 10, 2025, and a stepson Alan Halowich.
