Sue Ellen "Midge" Vavases

Sue Ellen “Midge” Vavases 68 of Charleroi passed away on Monday October 7, 2024 at Townview Health and Rehab in Canonsburg. Born in N. Charleroi on June 19, 1956, a daughter of the late Warren and Myrtie Peck Mugrage.

Midge was a social member of the Charleroi American Legion Post #22 and it’s Ladies’ Auxiliary. 

She is survived by her 2 daughters; Melissa Tillman of Charleroi and Jamie Allen of Monessen, a son Richard Jason McKita of Charleroi, 4 grandchildren; Kylee, Jobe and Devon Franks and Lilah Allen whom she had a most precious and loving bond with, 4 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters; Martha Lou Girimonte of Butler, Wanda Mugrage of Charleroi and Linda Chess of Ohio. 

Midge was preceded in death by a brother Alan “Pooch” Mugrage, and 3 sisters; Brenda “Bim” Stein, Bonnie Nutt and Sharon “Chick” Glesk. 

Visitation will be held on Friday October 11, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Leonard M. Pavlic Funeral Homes, Inc. 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi where funeral services will be held on Saturday October 12 at 10:30am with Chaplain Braedon Marton presiding. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Carroll Twp..
