Wanda Bongiorno

Wanda Bongiorno passed away peacefully on April 16, 2020. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who loved antiques, cooking, and most of all her husband Philip. She is survived by her husband Philip, loving and wonderful caregiver CathyBongiorno, daughters Susan (John) Thomson, Beth (partner Rick), step daughters Patty and Phyllis. Wanda is survived by 2 siblings, John and Irene.   She had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who she adored. She was preceded in death by her first husband Melvin Bell.

When you remember me, it means you have carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some kind of mark of who I am on who you are.

It means you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles stand between us.

It means that if we meet again, you will know me.

It means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart. (Frederich Buechner).

We wish to thank the Residence at Hilltop and the Hospice Association for their kindness and wonderful care.

Due to the current COVID-19 public gathering restrictions visitation and funeral services are private. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the:
Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh
